Lays Potato Chips are made using a simple combination of potatoes, oil, and salt. Nothing could illustrate that better than Lay’s new content marketing campaign utilizing a Rube Goldberg like contraption that makes chips live for its customer. Unlike other vending machines, the Lays machine asks for only a potato. The potato then passes through the machine, gets peeled, sliced, and fried, dispensing a delicious bag of salted chips. There are a number of content marketing strategies that have used vending machines as their target theme, but none quite like this.
